Let’s be honest, only a ‘few’ ‘Duos’ are even worth consideration at this point in the NFL season. We can talk ‘all day’ about C.J. & Nico (Texans), Jalen & AJ (Eagles), Jayden & Terry (Commanders), Sam & Justin (Vikings), Joe & Ja’Marr (Bengals), Lamar and Zay (Ravens), Josh and Keon (Bills) etc., but what it all really ‘boils’ down to is ‘one thing’ (what really matters) … Which ‘Dynamic Duo’ (*most importantly, considering the team element*) will pose the ‘greatest’ threat to any ‘team/defense’ this upcoming NFL Postseason? Texans lead the AFC South (7-4), the Eagles sit ‘nicely,’ leading the NFC East at 8-2 (Commanders at 7-4 trailing behind), Vikings (8-2) are one game behind the Lions (NFC North), the Bengals (4-7) record in the AFC North equals (=) automatic elimination from the discussion/debate, and the Ravens (7-4) sit ‘very uncomfortably’ behind the Steelers in the AFC North, while the Bills (9-2) ‘comfortably’ lead the AFC East.
No denying, Joe and Ja’Marr are definitely a ‘tandem’, but with a losing record (presumably eliminated from playoff contention) they easily become obsolete in this conversation, which includes most formidable teams/competition. This leaves the remaining. If I’m a Defensive Coordinator who ‘scares me’ the most? Is it C.J. & Nico (Texans), Jalen & AJ (Eagles), Jayden & Terry (Commanders), Sam & Justin (Vikings), Lamar and Zay (Ravens), or Josh and Keon (Bills)? Tough, maybe on paper, but in ‘real-time’ already thinking the ‘legs’ (QB scramble ability, toughness, experience, etc.) element serving as the game changer. Unsurprisingly, Lamar and Josh ‘Top’ that list, but stunningly, Jayden currently ranks 2nd in QB Rushing Yards this season, while Jalen comes in at 3rd (you can guess who’s #1).
A bit drawn out we know, but worth it LoL…and based on the above analysis, offense to include defensive ‘ranks/strategies’, and their team’s ability to ‘Win’ this postseason…Jalen & AJ (Eagles) currently reign supreme.
