With Nvidia chips in high demand in big business, will AI threaten to overpower conventional ways of thinking, performing, and executing day to day tasks.
Let’s start with the sports world:
In the 2000s where Homerun kings ruled the world with the overuse of illegal performance enhancing drugs, ratings for MLB were higher than ever! In fact, this trend spread in a cultural way with blockbuster movies like ‘The Program’ as amateurs used substances to gain an edge. Now that data is at the fingertips of front offices, will the overuse and perhaps ‘abuse’ of AI make organizations overly effective where they gain an unfair competitive advantage? If it’s 4th and 1 with the game on the line – will AI information be processed quickly in a way to stop Josh Allen on a QB sneak to the left? Hmm… sounds familiar.
Business:
If AI is overused and abused in the business world, we are at risk for losing genuine leadership and qualified talent to lead our country. Algorithms can be tweaked and modified to adapt, but our human minds, interactions, and experiences must be preserved to create a genuine culture that is worth working for in the long term.
Could you imagine a world where normal people resort to performance enhancing supplements to prevent being replaced by AI technologies???
