Since I can remember, NBA All-Star weekend was always a hit! Why is it now just another cold weekend in February no one recognizes?
Simple. The style of play has softened, but that is a product of today’s society where if a young person goes crazy, they are considered a ‘Crash Out.’ The WNBA has more passion, fundamentals and forward momentum when it comes to interest because of the honest style of play and courage for the players to be themself. The current NBA has lost a fundamental identity and quite frankly, a genuine connection to it’s primary fan base who rely on grit from it’s players.
The fact that Christmas is now a football holiday also speaks to the massive decline in interest from the NBA. We at Gray Chillin hope a resurgence is on the way!
In the meantime, if you’re really trying to get a spark, let Clark play for the Pacers.
